Our @HakkaBoxer Logo pays homage to the stepping patterns of Meihua Quan, which we will be expanding upon in future publications and videos.
"You can train Kung Fu in the space it takes to lay down an Ox."
I wanted to create this site for people, like me, who find themselves torn between a career and a passion and find themselves away from their regular training place, teacher and classmates, living out of a suitcase and unable to join a gym due to the nature of their work and only able to train with items that they can either fit into travel luggage, improvise, or buy cheaply enough at their work location.
I am a Journeyman and an Expat with over forty-years as a closed door Kung Fu disciple and it is my intention that @HakkaBoxer embodies the spirit of real-world, adaptable, practical, training, rooted in genuine tradition.
We have played these training routines in the streets of Vancouver, parks in central Madrid, rooftops in Lima, and in multiple hotel rooms across Northern Europe and the UK - anywhere training was possible.
As one old Chinese boxing proverb states: “Once you learn this boxing, you may dare to go anywhere in the world alone.”
